Contributing to The Nation Institute

All of our work is made possible by the generous support of individuals and institutions committed to a free and independent press, civil liberties and social justice. The Institute is a 501(c)(3) public foundation, donations to which are tax deductible to the fullest extent provided by law.

We are seeking unrestricted support for our annual operating budget, and targeted funding for our Journalism Fellows Program, our Internships in Magazine Journalism, our Investigative Fund, The Ridenhour Prize Program, and the publishing program at Nation Books.

The Institute is currently conducting the second phase of its Operating and Endowment Campaign. We offer several significant naming opportunities, and prospective donors interested in further information are invited to contact us.

The Institute supports a variety of planned giving mechanisms, including Charitable Remainder Trusts, Charitable Lead Trusts, and Bequests. Donors can also provide support via their employers' matching gift programs, donations of appreciated securities, and participation in our Legacy Group.
