As the year comes to a close, we want to take this opportunity to thank you for your support. 2014 will present us with new financial challenges, and your help can make a difference.
In the past 12 months, Nation Books published Jeremy Scahill's groundbreaking New York Times bestseller Dirty Wars, which exposes US covert warfare around the world. The Investigative Fund produced over seventy hard-hitting stories, uncovering hidden injustices like children laboring in American tobacco fields and migrant deaths at the hands of US Border Patrol agents. TomDispatch continued to publish its original commentary, which so many of us rely on to better understand our world. And more than 30 young people learned the nuts and bolts of journalism through the Victor S. Navasky Internship Program.
We're no mammoth nonprofit. Our resources are stretched thin, and we work hard to produce conversation-changing work, bringing you such critical voices as Naomi Klein, Gary Younge, Sharif Abdel Kouddous, Katha Pollit, Ari Berman, Chris Hedges, and many more.
