Join Nation Books author Dr. Ibram X. Kendi at Columbia University's Lehman Center for American History in New York City on Wednesday, March 1st for a discussion about his book Stamped from the Beginning: The Definitive History of Racist Ideas in America.

In Stamped from the Beginning, Kendi chronicles the development of anti-Black racist ideas, shedding light on their staggering power over the course of American history. Kendi is the winner of the 2016 National Book Award for Nonfiction and is an assistant professor of African American History at the University of Florida. An intellectual and social movement Africana studies historian, Kendi studies racist and antiracist ideas and movements.
