Ask Jonathan Schell A Question About Nuclear Danger

Where: Northwestern University, Evanston campus, IL
When: 2 pm
"The New Shape of Nuclear Danger" and "A World Free of Nuclear Weapons:" How Do We Bring Those Two Statements Together?
-A question to kick-off the Midwest Campaign to Eliminate Nuclear Weapons.

In The Seventh Decade, Schell once again reveals a most inconvenient truth, that especially over the past seven years, the nuclear weapons policies of our government have endangered our security, our planet and the very existence of our species. We owe it to ourselves and to generations to come to be educated on the issues surrounding the proliferation of nuclear weapons and the real threats the world faces if we do not engage in a true strategy for their elimination.

In a recent poll, 73 percent of the American people indicated that they believed it was time for the United States to lead negotiations for the elimination of nuclear weapons.

What better way to kick off the Midwest "Campaign to Eliminate Nuclear Weapons" than a Q & A with Jonathan Schell?

Join us as we explore the grass roots steps we can take towards strategies for controlling proliferation and eliminating nuclear weapons all over the globe.
